On 5 November 2020, Sandra Folie received one of three awards from the Gender Studies Association Austria (ÖGGF) for her dissertation "Beyond 'Ethnic Chick Lit'. Labeling Contemporary World Women's Literatures – A Transcontinental Comparison". Ralph Poole gave the laudation.
