Symposium: Trauma, Krise und Krankeit in der Literatur

21.09.2023

Rémi Tchokothe und Johanna Chovanec nehmen an dem Symposium "Reading and Studying Narratives of Trauma, Crisis, and Illness" am Østfold University College in Norwegen teil

Das von Rémi Tchokothe und Natalia Igl organisierte Symposium findet von 2.-3. Oktober in Halden statt und wurde aus Mitteln des neuen ELLA-Projekts "Literature in the Time of Crisis" am Østfold University College finanziert:

"The symposium investigates literature's potential to facilitate emotional reader engagement, ethical reflection, and (individual/collective) processing of traumatic memory and takes the 'embodied nature' of trauma and illness narratives as its point of departure. As trauma research has shown, traumatic experiences reshape both body and brain of an individual - and societies as a whole in the case of collective trauma."

Rémi Tchokothes Vortrag behandelt "Students' Sensuous Power: Using Emotional Resources in Teaching Rwanda 1994", während Johanna Chovanec sich auf "Narrating Neurodiversity: The Autism Spectrum in Literature" konzentriert.
